Description

The Tour de France automobile is the oldest event in existence. Now in its 32nd year, the new format features the ‘classics’. Among these classics, which must have competed between 1951 and 1973, Ferrari and Porsche forces have rubbed shoulders with a Bugatti, Mercedes 300 SLs, a very special Renault 4 CV, Ford GT40s and, exceptionally, a Ferrari 512 M. Equally exceptional is the Jaguar C-Type that lights up the cover. This year, the British cars are in the limelight, and they do themselves proud. Honour was also due to the sumptuous route, which combined legendary circuits such as Dijon-Prenois, Charade and Paul Ricard, special stages from the Monte Carlo Rally and roads winding through the vineyards. A truly great vintage!
