This year was marked by the long awaited reunion with the public. Five meetings were held in France, Italy and Portugal. In total, more than 130 races were held over the whole season and 28 champions were crowned.
With the largest number of entries in the Series by Peter Auto, it is therefore not surprising that the French have won most of the titles with 14 trophies out of 28, all categories included. They are followed by the Swiss drivers with six titles and the Germans with three. The British, Danish and Italian drivers also carried their country’s colours high, winning one title each.
On the mechanical side, the Porsches takes the forefront of the scene with nine podiums in the Series. Lola Cars won three titles with symbolic cars such as the 1981 T600 (CER 2) or the 1969 T70 (CER 1). Ford, Aston Martin, BMW, Austin, De Tomaso, Shelby, MG, Lotus and Bizzarrini all shone in their respective categories.
The Series by Peter Auto will be back on track during the Test Days organised on the Paul Ricard circuit on March 9 and 10, and then during the Mugello Classic from April 1 to 3. See you in 2022 !
